Race across a procedurally generated galaxy, collect Celestial Powers, and stop your uncle from mechanizing the universe — before it's too late.
Solar Engine is a procedurally generated top-down dungeon crawler. Explore up to 80 planets generated from a single seed, survive their elemental hazards, dive into caves and Celestial dungeons, and race your uncle to claim five scattered Celestial Powers before he uses them to force the universe into permanent mechanical order.
No infinite scroll of samey planets. Every world is generated once from your seed and stays that way — cleared dungeons stay cleared, villages remember you.
Heat, cold, radiation, toxicity, and psionic exposure accumulate on hostile worlds. Craft gear and use environmental tactics to push further with every run.
Start with three nodes. Earn more through play. Swap between combat, cargo, and scouting configurations at a Shipyard, saved as instant presets.
Your uncle claims Celestial planets if you're too slow, corrupting them into harder ExoMech dungeons. His progress creates pressure without a countdown clock.
Mine with the Federation, hunt bounties, or run cargo for the Courier Corps. Reputation builds naturally through how you already play.
True Balance, Mechanization, or Organic Resistance — shaped by which powers you claimed, who you recruited, and what you chose to fight for.
The Wrench is melee weapon, puzzle tool, and player identity in one. It starts as a simple swing-and-turn tool and grows with elemental mods pulled from every Celestial Power you claim.
Freeze enemies in place, or freeze water into bridges and lock spinning mechanisms.
Burn damage over time in combat; melt obstacles and overheat locked relics in dungeons.
Slow enemies briefly, or slow spinning gears for timing-sensitive Wrench Trials.
Pull and push metallic objects and enemies — disarm mechs, bridge magnetic gaps.
Pull enemies together for area damage, or solve weight-balance puzzles.
Every playthrough randomly selects five Celestial Powers from a pool of eight. The combination you get changes what your Wrench can do — and what kind of playthrough you're in for.
Freeze enemies, slow exposure on ice planets.
Burn damage, melts shields over time.
Pull enemies together, heavy slam AOE.
Heal over time, root enemies in vines.

Disarm mechs, attract metallic objects.
Beam attack, cleansing burst AOE.
50–80 planets across multiple solar systems, seed-determined and finite.
Elemental hazards, crafted gear, and smart play extend your time on hostile worlds.
Procedural caves on every planet. Celestial dungeons with bosses and permanent state.
Earn nodes through play. Arrange your ship for the role you want to play.
